Your DJ’s Job..

When booking a dj you always want to make sure that he or she is going to do everything you asked for. The dj’s job is to keep everyone entertained with music and high energy. Starting off with simple tasks of introducing the guests to the event and letting them know exactly where they are shows that your dj has a good sense of professionalism.

Once the party has begun the dj’s task is to play some music that will keep everyone at bay and settled as the guests begin to arrive. After the majority of the guests arrive the dj should now be creating a bit of a higher energy with music to get people dancing and having a good time. Once they see that everyone is settled in this is when the most important guest are usually introduced and welcomed to the party. If you’re having a wedding, sweet sixteen, or things of that nature there is usually an entire section for dances and/or formalities. Once the dj has introduced the importance guest and its hosts they are now to inform you of the formalities that will now be taking place after asking everyone to have their seats.

Once all the formalities are done the dj should now be letting everyone know that the dance floor is open once again for the guests to party. Keeping that energy high and focused, the dj should now be informing everyone that dinner will soon be available/served. Once dinner’s served it is the dj’s job to play some lower energy, yet still entertaining music. As the dj sees that most of the guests have finished their food he should be beginning to raise the energy level back up and play some higher energy music to get people dancing. When the parties are mainly children he could play some games with the guest and keep people involved as the party continues.

Keeping that energy up the rest of the party is usually the goal with a few formalities here and there will give you the best result with the guests.
